Blingstar Industries has created the next generation in lifestyle and mx
accessories. Started in early 2003, the idea of “moto-minded accessories” would
soon turn a few products into a full line of clothing, aluminum accessories and
a moto-minded home decor. The idea by co-owners Clint Roberts and Freddie
Sheppard would instantly set the standard in the motocross industry.
Sheppard has been involved with the ATV/Motocross industry for the majority of
his life. Having raced in the Mickey Thompson series during the early 90’s,
Freddie Sheppard was well known by all involved in Southern California racing
scene. He became well known for his metal creations. There he created displays,
marketing stands, and trade show booths for companies like No Fear, Dragonfly, Third Rail
and many more. With knowledge of metalworking and friends within the racing
industry it was only a matter of time for an idea that would change everything.
Clint Roberts, a long time friend of Sheppard’s, had been involved in racing in
the 90’s as well. However, owning a business and focusing on a career was his
top priority…..so racing slowly faded to a thing of his past. This extinguished
a fire in a certain part of his life which would be rekindled in late 2002.
Roberts began hitting the local tracks and entering races once again.
Recognizing the sport rapidly growing, this is when the idea of Blingstar was
created by Sheppard and Roberts.
Based on a few ideas from two creative minds, Blingstar started with a single
product. The highly successful “Blingstar Iron Cross Bumper” turned heads at
every track and dune it hit. The first available bumpers were taken with
Sheppard and Roberts to Sand Mountain on Memorial Day Weekend of 2003…..needless
to say, all bumpers were sold. With the word out, demand was in high excess of
supply. Now, with two full warehouse and production facilities in Riverside, CA
orders of there entire line are being shipped out in mass quantities.
Blingstar are glad to announce the opening of their UK company in the summer of 2005. This will insure full coverage of the product range throughout the UK and Europe.
